Well, that's that
Looks like I successfully changed the template. I miss the old one already. *sniff*
I'm also sad that I've lost all the Haloscan comments. I'm switching back to the Blogger comments because they have the feature that emails you when you get them (Haloscan actually did have it, but you have to pay for it). The Blogger comments don't seem to have all the problems now that they had back when I started using Haloscan (really, it's that Blogger itself seems to be much more stable), and they work properly with the new template (with the old template, which was designed before they had comments, they wouldn't pop up from the main page).
Technically, I still have all the Haloscan comments stored in my account there, and in theory, I could cut and paste each one into the Blogger comments just so I could keep them attached to the posts. Obviously, now, I don't have time to do that, but I'm compulsive enough that I might just do it at some point.
Anyway, that's all for now. We now return this blog to hibernation.

Lord I hate Blogger comment boards.
Can you put Haloscan on again?
Um, depends who's asking. :)
But seriously, the Blogger comments are slightly better for my purposes, so...I don't think so.
Anyway, I'm not sure who this is, but you can attach your name to your comments by clicking on the "Other" choice below.
It's not me. I adore everything you do.
Well of course you do.
(Do you like the new look? I'm getting used to it, I guess...)
It's lovely.
Love the new do, Jo.
Which isn't to say I didn't like the old.
(Geez, what I suck-up I make. I'm starting to sound like Dweeze.)
Hey, I just noticed from my post--that "new" and "do" rhyme, even though they look like they shouldn't, and "do" and "Jo" don't.
Just thought you might want to know. (which rhymes with Jo.)
See, look what happens when you go away. There's no one to tell me stuff like this.
And thank you, sir. Suck-ups are always welcome here. :)
Not if he's going to push into my business, he's not.
Oooooo, I likey! Hi Jo!
No!! Don't hibernate! I need something to read now that I' have free time.
Oh...I like the new look. I'll let you know if I need help figuring how to change mine.
Hi everyone! :)
Hi Jo!
Ho Jo!
Ha! Jo!
Who? Jo!
Hee hee Jo!
slow day, dweeze?
Sheesh, I can't turn my back for one lousy minute before you boys start tearing up the place. If I ever find out you've been having a party here while I'm gone, there will be trouble. Oh yes, there will!
I like how I get gathered into the "you boys" blame for this mess, even though I was an innocent bystander.
Reminds me of my childhood, when my older brothers acted up, and I'd share in the punishment.
Oh, and? Dweeze was the one trying on your lingerie n stuff.
Look, I don't have time to assign blame here. I see a mess. I see two names. But clearly I'm going to have to get the neibors to watch over this place while I'm going.
And I knew it was Dweeze from the telltale white fur everywhere. That boy sheds like you wouldn't believe.
I might even get the neighbors, too.
Actually, I think threats would be more effective if they didn't have typos. (Two can play at that game, you know...)
Can I throw a party while you aren't here? I'm not a boy....
I'll confirm Iggy's not a boy. I've seen pictures...
Thanks goth. It's nice to have someone stick up for me. I sure hope that Jo thinks I'm responsible enough to have a party when she's not around.
Well, okay. (Just leave me some of those test tube shots if you have any left over.)
Will do. All of the partying that I did last week was really just a prelude. Now I know what every test tube shot at that bar tastes like, so I can be sure to recommend the best ones. :)
Good luck tomorrow and friday. I'll be thinking about ya.
Hi, I've turned to Haloscan because they have the feature that someone can made you a trackback - but I've realised there's a limit to how long and how many comments you can see at a time - (unless you pay of course and that's annoying...). You can choose another template - but I think this one is nice.
Thanks! :)
I do think I like it too, although I may tinker around with it a little, now that I have a little more time. As for the comments, yeah, neither system is perfect, but they each have their own advantages. I didn't really have much need for the trackback feature, so it wasn't much of a big deal to not have it.
