You know how you're always wondering what the hell Rod Stewart is singing about in that stupid Broken Arrow song? Well, apparently you weren't the only one (last question), and now you have an answer! Who knew?

I still like my take on it better.

"Who else is going to give you a broken arrow?"

"Hopefully, no one."

What you mean you don't agree with the person who wrote the letter that said, "It’s a very pretty line and it seems really romantic at face value."

(Incidentally, I guess if that's what qualifies as romantic, it's no surprise that I'm not a very romatic person.)

Actually, I did have a serious interpretation. It was that, perhaps the person being sung to really, really liked broken arrows, and the singer got to know her well enough to know this fact, and so he was saying to her "well, who else is going to do this thing you really like but that no one knows about" or, in other words, "who else is going to know you as well as I?"

Interesting. I can see that.

Although in your scenario, the person being sung to sounds kind of hippy-dippy, if you ask me.
